Resorts World

Getting Here

Resorts World is perfectly situated near major motorways, Birmingham airport and Birmingham International train station. Depending on which direction you are coming from, the M42 (J6), the A452 and A45 are all nearby. For the latest travel and traffic news, see below.

If you are travelling by train/bus to Birmingham International Station you’ll be able to get to us via the walkway through the NEC. Alternatively, you can also use the stairs or lifts at that entrance down to Perimeter way and follow the signs to Resorts World.

There is a pedestrian and cycle access route from the A45, directly onto the NEC Campus. This route links to the pedestrian and cycle bridge providing safe access across the A45 and connecting to the wider Solihull cycle route.

M42 FULL WEEKEND CLOSURE 24th-27th July – PLAN AHEAD

Heading our way this weekend?

Just a head’s up that there’s a planned M42 closure from 9pm Friday 24 July to 5am Monday 27 July:

  • M42 Junctions 6-9 northbound
  • M42 Junction 7a to 6 southbound

Don’t worry, we’re still open and easy to reach and there will be clearly signed diversion routes in place.

Just plan ahead and allow extra travel time so you can get here stress-free. More details and diversion routes here.

DIVERSION AT BICKENHILL INTERCHANGE – CHECK YOUR ROUTE HOME

Please note that due to the closure of the M42 north bridge there is a diversion in place at Bickenhill Interchange. This won’t impact your journey to Resorts World, no matter which direction you are coming from. If you are leaving site via the M42 North, you will also continue as normal.

If you are leaving via the A45 or the M42 South, simply follow the signed diversion routes. Find more information from National Highways here.

Road Closures

The ongoing HS2 work will at times require some roadworks or diversions overnight in the surrounding area. Check for any roadworks on your route here: https://www.hs2.org.uk/in-your...

There are also works underway by national highways on the M40 / M42 interchange that may impact some journeys particularly overnight. See the latest updates here :https://nationalhighways.co.uk...

There are some road closures on nearby roads so at busy times on campus this could lead to slight delays entering or leaving the area.

We have disabled guest parking spaces in all car parks and we have family spaces available on all three levels of our multi-storey car park. These are not bp pulse LIVE car parks. If you would like information on their car parks and how to pay for them, please visit their website. If you have parked in our car parks while visiting the Arena, please be aware that you will need to pay for your parking at Resorts World (and not at bp pulse LIVE).

    Car Park Updates

When our multi-storey car park is full, our guests are directed to South 2, South 6 and East 5 Car Parks. Large-scale events at the NEC bring a high volume of visitors to campus, and during these times our overflow car parks are often used exclusively to accommodate them.
