On Friday 9th February, our talented team of chefs cooked up a feast and prepared one giant halibut, served on a supersized seabed of chips, in order to hook, line and sinker the current Guinness World Record™ for largest serving of fish and chips.
We were joined by guests from LoveBrum and plenty of hungry visitors for the big cook-off, which took place in our Ground Floor restaurant space. The halibut fillet weighed in at 27.83kg and took two hours to cook, before it was served with a mountain of chips totalling a chippy tea of epic proportions, coming in at 54.77kg.
Once the GUINNESS WORLD RECORDS™ adjudicator gave his of-fish-al verdict, celebrations and complimentary cones of the prize fish and chips were enjoyed all round!
