We’re really excited to announce that following our competition, we now have our official guest blogger Sian Victoria who was selected from lots of great entries to be our guest blogger and was treated to a £250 Resorts World Gift Card to spend on her first blog about the Resort.
She recently came along to experience the atmosphere at sunny Birmingham-On-Sea, and here’s what she had to say about it…
On Saturday I went to Resorts World Birmingham to reward myself with some retail therapy and spa treatments after a crazy couple of weeks finishing my second year of university (woohoo no more studies until September!). Although the typical British summer brought drizzle on Saturday it didn’t dampen the atmosphere in Resorts World, as the Birmingham-on-sea event brought the sunshine indoors and everyone was in good spirits, enjoying the entertainment from some cheeky pirates walking around. And children were having fun colouring in a big pentagon shaped board with funny doodles on, which my inner child really wanted to have a go on!
The Lindt store were also handing out free samples of chocolate so of course being the chocolate lover I am I had to test one (or maybe 3 sssh). The first shop I went to was Joy, I’ve never been to a Joy store before so I was surprised to see so many pretty vintage style dresses. I was in love with this light blue dress with a mesh underlay and white feather embroidery on, it would look amazing worn to a summer wedding. I regret not buying it, I might pop up in the week to get it before it’s gone. Although I did buy an imitation leather shoulder bag from Joy featuring a croc print, the label said £15 but when I went to pay it was £10, don’t you just love it when that happens?
The outlet stores in Resorts World have up to 70% off, so you’re likely to be surprised when you’re at the till. You know when everyone goes crazy for the Next sale and people queue up for hours on Boxing Day morning? Well every day is a bargain at the outlet stores in Resorts World. I bought four Next dresses and a t-shirt for £34, I was so pleased and I can’t wait to wear them, I shall do a haul post soon to show you everything I brought on the day.
After shopping for clothes I went to The Body Shop and bought a Tea Tree gift set and then to Holland & Barret and bought some Bioglan Superfood powder to add a bunch of vital vitamins to my breakfast bowls, I stocked up on a couple of items as everything is 30% off marked price which is great, you don’t get that on the high-street!
My day at Resorts World was a perfect way to spend the weekend, after shopping, spa treatments and eating amazing food at Las Iguanas the evening was finished off watching Bad Neighbours 2 in Cineworld where I got to drool over Zac Efron.
The Birmingham-on-sea event finishes on Monday 30th, so be sure to pop down with the family for plenty of entertainment, amazing shopping deals and delicious food. A perfect way to spend the long weekend this bank holiday!
