Vans – Assistant Manager 

Job Description: 

  1. To assist the Store Manager in maximizing profit performance by achieving sales targets within budget. 
  2. Assist the manager in leading and developing a sales and customer service focused store team. Inspire the team and all customers with our brands fashion and lifestyle image and products.
  3. Have the mind set and determination to always be better than our competitors’ set and determination to always be better than our competitors.

 Duties and Responsibilities

  1. Assist the manager in the recruitment of suitably competent staff in compliance with agreed company criteria.
  2. Train the store team in all aspects and responsibilities including customer service, company history, product knowledge and store operations.
  3. Arrange comprehensive work rosters, covering holiday and sickness cover.
  4. Ensure that all team members share the brand values of fashion and lifestyle.
  5. Assist the manager in carrying out all staff appraisals and counseling/disciplinary procedures, in conjunction with HR Department and management.
  6. Work with the Store Manager in the implementation of customer service standards to ensure all of the store team provides excellent customer service at all times.
